A poem of comfort
Mourn me not, though I know you shall miss me. I have simply gone ahead to meet those who have gone before. I will light a candle and wait at the gate as a beacon to guide you at your time, when we will embrace once more.
Think of me with tears of joy, never sorrow, for I am with you as the shaft of sunlight through the clouds,
the whisper of the wind in the trees and the moonlight sparkling on the water.
I shared with you my life, I shared with you my love, and now I am no-longer with you, please share your memories of me. Laugh often and let a smile touch your lips as you remember.
I have said goodbye to you in this life; now I wait to greet you in the next.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
